From bayou protection to permanent land conservation.
The organization began within Bayou Preservation Association, moved through the names Bayou Lands Conservancy, Southeast Texas Conservancy, and Legacy Land Trust, and returned to Bayou Land Conservancy in 2010.
The through-line stayed consistent: protect the floodplains and green spaces surrounding Houston-region streams.
